Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - Surfer Magazine - 1960's
This is a classic issue featuring a Jock Sutherland cover shot at Pipe by Ron Stoner. But perhaps most classic is a six-page article written by Mickey Dora about the transformation of Malibu from sacred to circus: "Johnny Fain, you win. You and your Amen groupies can have the place," Dora writes. "The water's curdling already from the football-punchy Valley swingers. I hope you all become one while stewing in your own juices. For myself, I'm dropping out."
This issue very good condition, about 90 percent of mint. Cover is detached at bottom staple. Otherwise very light cover and spine wear. Complete and intact with no torn or missing pages and no cutouts. No water stains or moisture damage of any kind. Subscription card is also intact.
Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat board backing. Measures approximately 8 1/2 x 11 inches.
