EDDIE AIKAU AT HALEIWA

EDDIE WOULD GO! Though best known for his big-wave prowess at Sunset and Waimea, Eddie Aikau also mastered lesser spots with equal enthusiasm. Here, he pulls into a sick stand-up tube at Haleiwa, circa 1968. Eddie disappeared during a Hokule'a sailing canoe disaster off Oahu in 1978. This is a real silver halide gelatin print hand printed on photographic paper by Bill Romerhaus of North Shore Photography. Print measures approximately 7 1/4 inches by 9 inches and is shrink-wrapped to an 8 inch by 10 inch board. This print is available as shown or mounted in a bamboo-style synthetic frame.
