Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - Surfer Magazine - 1980's

Cave-dweller Gerry Lopez finds a new home at G-Land, Java. Ventura County feature offers up some crispy barrels. As SURFER photographer and Ventura resident Craig Fineman puts it, "It's a nice place to live but I wouldn't want to visit there." This issue also includes a retrospective piece on "Big Corona," North Shore Winter 83/84, and a Martin Potter profile. In the cover feature, "Java Diary," Lopez pens his handwritten daily observations from his jungle camp. The object of this exercise, he writes, is "to stay alive and ride waves." He does both with style. This magazine is in very good or Betty condition, about 80 percent of mint. Light cover and spine wear with no pulling at staples. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board. Click Here for a closer look.
