Filmmaker Eric Blum introduces "The Fantastic Plastic Machine," featuring George Greenough's never-before-seen in-the-tube perspectives. Fred Hemmings wins the world title in Puerto Rico. Also includes "Bad Karma at Huntington Beach" by Drew Kampion, Margo Godfrey and Rolf Arness profiles, and "Surf Art" by John Severson. Plus a Peru travel feature and a Wayne Lynch feature by John Witzig. Then follow the evolution of the Short Board, Phase II with Drew Kampion. Finally, a stunning SURFER Photo feature includes Blacks, Rincon, Trestles, Sunset Beach, and Honolua Bay in their finest hour.

This issue is in very good condition, nearly 90 percent of mint. Some minor staple rust. Otherwise just about perfect. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. Pages appear to have never been turned.  Subscription card is intact.  One of the nicest copies we have seen!
