Here is a copy of a rare first edition classic by John Severson, founder of SURFER Magazine. Severson chronicles the Polynesian origins of the sport, examines various surfing techniques, and examines how the introduction of the "modern" surfboard led to an explosion in the popularity of surfing.
This book is in very good condition, about 85 to 90 percent of mint. Paper dust jacket is also in very good condition with only minor creasing and small tears. The word "Smile" is written in blue ink on the front endpaper. No other writing of any kind. All 189 interior pages are in excellent condition with no tears, missing pages, or cutouts. No water stains or moisture damage of any kind.
