JIMI HENDRIX "BLUE CHEER" BY JOHN VAN HAMERSVELD (2004)

This limited edition poster was published to commemorate the Jimi Hendrix "Pinnacle Concert Series" held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in 1968. This Artist's Edition was published in 2004 and has been signed personally by the artist, John Van Hamersveld.

Sotheby's Auction House said of the original edition: "One of the very best Jimi Hendrix posters ever designed. This particular poster for the 'Jimi Hendrix & Soft Machine with The Electric Flag and Blue Cheer' concert is a classic. The simplicity of design, and restrained choice of color were just right. It is extremely rare and sought after by collectors."

John was also chosen by Cream to create the poster, album, and DVD art for their 2005 reunion shows at Royal Albert Hall and Madison Square Garden.

This limited edition poster has been signed by the artist, John Van Hamersveld. This poster is in very good or near-mint condition, with only some very light wear from handling. No creases, tears, tack holes, or tape marks. No water stains or moisture damage of any kind.

Measures approximately 19 inches wide by 27.25 inches tall. Printed on 80-pound archival Glacier Vellum coated cover stock. Soy-based archival inks in three custom colors.
