Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - International Surfing

"When we, Richard Graham and Leroy Grannis, received word that Petersen's Surfing magazine was no longer being published as a monthly, we began looking around for backers to enable us to continue the magazine." This quote from the editorial herewith sums up how the present-day Surfing Magazine started so many years ago. Content includes coverage of the 1964 Surfboard Championships at Huntington Beach, Wedge pictorial, full-color Waimea centerspread, and Donald Takayama profile. This issue is in very good or Betty-plus condition, about 85 to 90 percent of mint. Very light cover and spine wear. No pulling at staples. Minimal staple rust. Some yellowing of cover has occurred. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board. We have a second copy of this issue in slightly lesser condition.
