JOHN SEVERSON'S "GOING MY WAVE" (1962)

Going My Wave was Severson's most ambitious surf-travel adventure. With colorful animated maps and new surf spots, the film was a reflection of changing travel horizons in the sport.

The featured wave was shot with a 1000 millimeter lens from almost a mile away in the hills above Laniakea on Oahu's North Shore. Note the board under the arm of the cartoon photographer. Severson went "shortboard" in much of his art in the late 1950s for the sake of graphics and fun.

Measures approximately 9 inches by 14 inches. Packaged in an archival quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.

This one is a repro and we're not sure where or how we got it! But we'll let it go cheap.
