A Lynne Boyer profile titled "Raising the Level" shows why she was an early steward of women's professional surfing. North Shore action includes some all-time Laniakea, Pipe, Sunset, Gas Chambers, and Rocky Point. Plus "Windansea: An Historical Perspective" by Fred Stoughton and Andrew Tyler. A Trestles contest results in Michael Ho taking home a $3,000 check. Plus "The Art of Small-Wave Surfing, Part II," "Audio Visual Adventures" with Jack McCoy, and "Reworking Blake's Brainchild" by Brian Gillogly.
