Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - Surfer Magazine - 1970's

This one kicks off with a New Zealand pictorial featuring some of the best waves ever surfed at Puni's Farm. Also includes "Wayne Lynch at 25: A Very Experienced Surf Nazi" by John Witzig. (Lynch basically goes nuts on his backside at large, sharky Australian reef breaks.) Then visit South Africa with Shaun and Michael Tomson, who steal the show at Cave Rock, Durban, and J-Bay. Mark Richards and Larry Bertleman discuss the virtues of twin-fins. Finally, in "Lobster Lounge and the Pump House Gang 1978," Jim Kempton examines one of California's hollowest left reef breaks and the crew who surfs it. This magazine is in very good or Betty condition, about 80 percent of mint. Top right corner is dogeared slightly. Otherwise light cover and spine wear. No pulling at staples. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. We have a second copy of this issue in slightly lesser condition. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
