Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - Surfer Magazine - 1980's
Young Bronzed Aussie Cheyne Horan makes Peter Crawford's clipboard and, ultimately, the cover of SURFER Magazine.
We begin with a "California Spring: A Season of Transition, a beautiful pictorial featuring images by John Ker, Mike Moir, Steve Sakamoto, and Tom Servais. Then we profile "People Who Surf," and take in a North Shore photo collage that can only be described as breathtaking. The centerspread features Vince Klyn flashing a peace sign to Dan Merkel as he drives inside a deep Backdoor tube. This issue also inclues "Atlantic Tidings," a lengthy East Coast pictorial featuring some clean ones at New Jersey and Cape Hatteras. Then Peter Townend pens a photo feature on Shark Island, one of the world's deadliest right pits...The photos don't lie. We conclude with a Hans Hedemann profile.
This magazine is in very good or Betty condition, at least 80 percent of mint. Very light cover and spine wear. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts.
