Vintage Collectibles - Magazines - Surfer Magazine - 1980's

Another weird choice for a cover image, but what do I know?... John McClure seems to have appeared out of nowhere to dominate this issue. He's featured on the cover at Santa Monica Pier, then gives a tutorial on aerials, then appears in a pictorial titled "LA 1984: Are We Having Fun Yet?" Other standouts include his brother, Dan McClure, J. Riddle, Nathan Pratt, Willy Morris, and Randy Wright. "Surfer's Lunch Around the World" pairs food with surfing for some tasty international dining (centerspread features the late Mark Foo at triple overhead Laniakea). "Malibu 1984" examines past and present, and "The '84 Summer Olympics: Why Surfers Won't Be There." This magazine is in very good or Betty condition, at least 80 percent of mint. Light cover and spine wear with no pulling at staples. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
